    Short distance to a beautiful island. Only fault is the price.

    The coffee in the cafe is fine. The shop is a bit sparse. The toilets are handy.

    Getting across to Kangaroo Island is easy. Book your car+passengers ticket online via Sealink website. Drive to Cape Jervis and get there 30 to 40 minutes before ferry departure. Upon arriving at the ferry terminal ,check in and get your boarding pass. The Sealink personnel will advise you what to do next - where to park your car to get in line and where/ when the passengers need board. Same process happens at KI Penneshaw on the return leg. Note-it takes roughly 2.5hours drive from Adelaide CBD to Cape Jervis.

    Very important to book early. We didn't and could only get a 05:30 booking for the return. However, on the way out we asked about changing our booking for the return and had no problem in getting the crossing time we wanted.
